Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City: (D)
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City. Be welcomed by a representative for pick-up and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels : (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to explore the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an intricate underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. Following lunch, visit the former Presidential Palace. Then, you have free time to shopping at Ben Thanh Market. Dinner on your own. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta Excursion: (B/L/D)
In the morning, take a 2-hour drive southwest of Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta, known as the rice bowl of Vietnam. Enjoy a boat cruise around islets and tropical orchards through the canal of Vam Xep to reach a small islet. Take a relaxing walk along shady, palm-fringed trails passing local villages to observe their peaceful daily life. Visit a bee farm, sip special tea with honey, sample fruits with a local family, and hear their stories. Explore a small coconut workshop and experience a horse-drawn cart transfer to visit handicraft villages, a coconut candy factory, and enjoy tropical fruit and traditional music. Relax with a rowing boat through the narrow, palm tree-lined canals of the Mekong River before returning to My Tho by motorized boat. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh – Vung Tau – Ho Chi Minh: (B/L/D)
Breakfast. Depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 7:00 am and arrive in Vung Tau around 10:00 am to enjoy Thuy Van beach. Visit Thang Tam Temple, the Jesus Christ Statue, the White Palace, and a traditional fishing port to see fish drying and local trades. After lunch and a beachside café visit, return to Ho Chi Minh City by 5:00 pm, with a short break at Long Thanh Cow Milk Rest-stop for specialties and souvenirs. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh – Departure: (B/L)
Breakfast. You take a cyclo tour to visit the major sights of Ho Chi Minh City, including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit the War Remnants Museum, where you will learn about the history of the Vietnam War and the prolonged resistance against the United States. After that, you will have the chance to visit the Thien Hau Temple, one of the famous temples in Ho Chi Minh City.
Afterward, you will be taken to the airport for your departure flight.
