dynamic change. Dictated by the rise and fall of the tides, the Mangroves are a wonderful study on survival and adaptation. Our guide will take us on board to explore the Kubang Badak River. We may have chances to observe the White-bellied Sea Eagles, Brahminy Kites, Kingfishers, Herons,
Mudskippers, Fiddler Crabs and Monitor Lizards and if we are lucky the resident otter family. We make a stop at Jemuruk Island for a swim. We then make our way to a local family house for a delightful home cooked lunch.

UNESCO GEOPARK TOUR This tour takes us to the north east of Langkawi where we take a boat and explore some of the most beautiful seascapes Malaysia has to offer. KAYAKING ADVENTURE Meet up at Kubang Badak Jetty. After a short safety brief we get into our kayaks and paddle up the Kubang Badak River. Once everyone is on the kayak, we are ready to begin our kayaking adventure. We kayak at a slow pace to enjoy this serene river and pedal towards the open sea. Along the way guide will share interesting facts and explanations of the importance and intricate ecosystem of the mangrove forest. The intertwining roots of these unique plants are breeding grounds for many organisms that have adapted ingenious ways to thrive in a habitat dictated by the ebb and flow of the ocean tides. We may get to see sea eagles and kites, kingfishers, herons, mudskippers, fiddler crabs, and monitor lizards during this kayaking adventure. We stop at Pinang Cave, the remains of an ancient sea cave formed by waves when the sea was 25m above its current level. Next, we pedal Charcoal Kiln. We end this adventure at Jemuruk Island to have a relaxing swim. Upon returning to the jetty, we then travel to a nearby local house for some homemade prepared lunch and refresh-ments.

BIRD WATCHING Langkawi is home to approximately 200 species of birds, of which about one third are migrants.These migrants winter here between the months of September and April. The most suitable hours to observe birds at the equator are either early mornings or early evenings when they are most active. This half day tour is spread over two sessions. This tour is suitable for both the serious birder and the
birding enthusiast. The itinerary is flexible and can be modified depending on your target birds.

RAINFOREST AFTER DARK As the day draws to a close and the night begins to envelope it, a myriad of amazing and unique creatures begin to stir and come alive to start the night shift. Our tour starts from the base of Gunung Raya where our guide will meet and greet you. After a short brief we proceed with a drive to the summit of the highest peak on the island. This drive up takes us along a quite road that overlooks the rainforest canopy. Your guide will lookout for such animal like monkeys, squirrels and birds such as hornbills, rollers, flowerpeckers and sunbirds. We will make several stops at scenic points to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the island. Just about sunset we proceed to drive down Gunung Raya where proceed to Lubuk Semilang in search of the enigmatic nocturnal animals that call this place home.We hope to see bats, flying squirrels and if lucky the unique Flying Lemur also known as the Colugo.
