Day 1 Arrival Kuching 

Meet upon arrival then transfer to hotel for check in

 

Day 2 Bako Kubah National Park [Breakfast/Lunch Dinner]

Breakfast at Hotel

Pick up from City Hotel then proceed for birding at Kubah National Park. The Park is situated on a sandstone plateau, mostly covered by mixed dipterocarp forest which interspersed with patches of scrub & unusually rich area of Kerangas forest, is the home of colorful resident birds like Pittas, Trogons, Broadbills, Kingfishers, Barbets, Woodpeckers, Flycatchers, Malkohas & many more..

 

Target species : Blue-banded pitta, Bornean Blue-flycatcher, Bornean Bristlehead, Bornean Wren Babbler, Bornean Banded Kingfisher, Yellow-rumped flowerpecker, Bornean Black-magpie, Red-bearded bee-eater, Raffles’s malkoha, Red-naped trogan, Diard’s trogon, Scarlet-rumped trogon, Rufous-backed kingfisher, Rufous-collared kingfisher, White-crowned hornbill, Blue-eared Barbet, Rufous piculet, Grey-&-buff woodpecker, Olive-backed Woodpecker, Banded broadbill, Green Broadbill, Grey-bellied Bulbul, Yellow-bellied Bulbul, Chestnut-naped Forktail, Grey-headed Babbler, Rufous-crowned babbler, Scaly-crowned babbler, White-necked Babbler, Brown Fulvetta, Spotted Fantail, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Grey-breasted Jungle-flycatcher, Scarlet-breasted Flowerpecker, Crimson Sunbird, Crested Jay Shrike & etc.

 

After dinner, night walk for Sunda Frogmouth, Reddish Scops Owl, Brown Hawk Owl & etc. Overnight stay  in the Park.

 

Day 03 Kubah National Park – Bako National Park  [Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner]

 

After breakfast, continue birding in the Park till noon then transfer to Bako jetty, take a 20 minutes boat ride to Bako National Park, this is the oldest and one of the most popular national parks in Sarawak, offers the perfect introduction to Sarawak’s forest and wildlife. It contains a wide range of vegetation – peat swamp forest, scrub-like padang vegetation, mangrove forest, dipterocarp forest, delicate cliff vegetation, beach vegetation & Kerangas forest. Visitors can see wildlife such as Proboscis monkey, Silver langur, Long-tailed macaques, Bearded pigs, Monitor lizards, Flying lemur & etc.

 

Target species : Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, Stork-billed Kingfisher, Common Flameback, White-bellied Woodpecker, Black-& Red Broadbill, Red-crowned Barbet, Mangrove Blue Flycatcher, White-chested Babbler, Bold-striped Tit-babbler, Ruby-cheeked Sunbird, Pink-necked Green Pigeon, Lesser Cuckoo-shrike, Scarlet Minivet, Asian Fairy Bluebird, White-rumped Shama, & etc..

After dinner, night walk for Sunda Scops Owl & etc. Overnight stay in the Park.

 

Day 04 Bako National Park – Semenggoh Nature Reserve -Kuching         [Breakfast/Lunch]

After breakfast, continue birding in the Park till noon then transfer to Semenggoh Nature Reserve for birding, meanwhile witness the man of the forest ~ The OrangUtan..

Target species : Black-bellied Malkoha, Hooded Pitta, Red-throated Barbet, Black-&-red Broadbill, Banded Woodpecker, Puff-backed Bulbul, Greater Green Leafbird, Bornean Black Magpie & etc.

Return to Kuching. Overnight at hotel

 

Day 05 Departure  [Breakfast]

Breakfast at hotel. Free until your transfer to Kuching International airport for your departure flight.

REMARK: Bako tour is subject to weather permits and not recommended during monsoon season (November – February)
